Eat, Pray, and Get Well is a blog written by Erin Porter, who has appeared on a number of national programs talking about her exposure to mold.
Erin has produced a great video on how to use mold test plates to look for mold. We have linked to it here, but would encourage you read more about it at her blog.

Does the petri dish need a solution inside of it or is there nothing inside of it when you test?best to wrap in tin foil?wrap all the way around?wait how many days?
The petri dish should have detailed instructions.
– The dish has an thin layer of agar (mold food) on the bottom. Simply expose for an hour or tap test, tape it shut, mark it, wrap in foil all around and place in a dark, warm place for 5 days. Then you simply count the mold colonies.
Thanks,
